We made our small tray box out of reclaimed 1940s pine sheathing that was headed to the landfill after being removed from a small Victorian home that was being remodeled.

I added a touch of stain to give the beautiful grained wood an extra nice aged look.
Three coats of a quality satin poly seals the wood and will protect it from everyday dust and moisture.
Clean up will be simple. Simply wipe up spills or debris with a damp cloth.

The original notches and nail holes add character and create a textural feast for the eyes.
These characteristics are what make this piece unique and should not be considered a defect.
